Ryan Kowal’s Extended Sizing
Ryan Kowal has spent years honing his craft with some of the best musicians in Rhode Island to bring about Ryan Kowal’s Extended Sizing. A large ensemble featuring influences from around the world, all filtered through Rhode Island’s rich musical heritage. A musical melting pot, this ensemble brings together disparate styles, instruments, and musicians from multiple backgrounds to create a truly unique sound that audiences love.
The name “Extended Sizing” not only represents the large number of musicians working together, but to a term for size inclusive clothing. Society has moved forward in a lot of respects in terms of equity and inclusion, but one area that doesn’t seem to make much progress is the movement around size inclusivity. A main priority for the music written and performed by Ryan is to highlight that just like music from different parts of the world, people and musicians can come together, regardless of size and shape, to create something really special.
The live performances from this band are electric. Audiences dance, sing along, and even cry from the emotions these musicians breathe through their instruments. Each concert is a unique experience that needs to be lived in person.
